Loft Theatre at CU Boulder tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a cozy spot to catch some live theatre in Boulder? The Loft Theatre at CU Boulder is a hidden gem that’s been quietly making waves since the 1950s. It’s not just a theatre; it’s where students and local talents get their start, often blending traditional acting with cool multimedia stuff that honestly keeps you on your toes. I mean, they had a student-led show back in 2014 that mixed stage acting with video projections, pretty ahead of its time, right? And if you’re into history, you’ll find that the venue hosted the national college theatre conference in 2002, bringing together over 300 theatre buffs from all over the country. Oh, and in 2019, they premiered 'The Boulder Chronicles' to celebrate the theatre’s 66th anniversary, talk about a local legend. Getting there is pretty straightforward, too. From the western parking lot, just head toward the campus core, then swing by the University Memorial Center and you’ll find the Loft Theatre nestled inside. Or from the south side, cross that open field and step into the UMC, easy peasy. Whether you're here for a big show or just to support emerging artists, the Loft has a vibe that’s both intimate and inspiring. Plus, they often have guest speakers and special events that make each visit feel fresh. So yeah, if you’re craving a night out filled with creativity and good old Colorado charm, the Loft Theatre is where it’s at.
